From the Inside Out

Photography is my key to the secret garden, my way down the rabbit hole, my looking glass. I started with Black and White film and from the beginning, the process of transforming a small piece of film into a beautiful print, struck me as magical. Over the years, this magic stayed with me. Photography fills me with a sense of accomplishment and has become a way of translating my inner vision into reality. I photograph from the inside out, employing both traditional and new approaches, using photography to document the world around me, and making images that draw attention to what others might overlook. I look for the light within the shadows, the stories that are not immediately obvious, the uncommon in the common. At the moment, I’m fascinated by the nuances of movement and color, and how  I can use them to create beautiful ethereal images. Nature is overflowing with imperceptible, organic lines. My idea is to use my camera to uncover these ephemeral shapes, showing the fragile spirals and elegant ovals in nature, hoping they hold a clue to the secret of life.
